Happy National Volunteer Week, April 15-21!

President Barack Obama officially proclaimed next week as National Volunteer Week and we’re pretty excited to celebrate all the volunteers who make Washington Youth Soccer the great organization that it is.

This week at Set Plays, we’ll be sharing resources focused on volunteers: recruitment and retention tips; thanking your volunteers for the terrific work they do; how to write a great volunteer position description; and how encouraging your members to volunteer in your  community can benefit your club or association. We hope that you’ll use our volunteer resources to celebrate your club and association volunteers during National Volunteer Week, April 15-21, 2012.

If you have any tried-and-true volunteer best practices or stories of how volunteers have made a difference in your organization, let us know and we’ll feature them in a future blog post!
